Just the Way I AM

I may be wrong, but people seem to be getting more tolerant. It is as though in the name of political correctness, we have confused what is acceptable and what is not. My observation is based on the growing number of times I hear people say, Thats just the way I am. Or, Thats just how she/he is. It is as though saying someones this or that way makes they way they are ok. Well, I dont think so. Sometimes the way someone is is not ok. It can be wrong, rude, inappropriate, overly demanding, inconsiderate or a variety of other not ok stuff. When that happens, I dont think saying, that just how they are makes the behavior acceptable.

There is a difference between accepting someone as they are and being victimized by them. We need people in our life who accept us just as we are -- warts and all. Yet, that doesnt mean we need to bless them in their illness or let off the hook for becoming the best that they can be. People who accept me "just as I am," are those who have most likely earned the right to share with me where I need to change, grow or adjust.

Life is a balancing act between becoming and being. When am I an unfinished work in progress and when am I done?

Three questions provide the answer: 1 - Is my behavior hurting me? 2 Is my behavior hurting another? 3 Is my behavior keeping me from being all I am meant to be? If the answer is yes to any of the three, then I work on changing. If not, then its just the way I am.

Healing Through the Written Word

Healing through the Written Word - Writing is the medicine we need to heal our everyday wounds and provide us with the immunity to go forth and live, knowing we have a powerful healer at our fingertips.

Everyday wounds are those hurts that present themselves to us on a daily basis through our relationships and interactions with others and stay with us until they are addressed and eventually healed. Each day we are presented with situations that can develop into wounds or contribute to our growth as a Higher Ground Human. It all depends on what we choose.

"Everyday wounds" consist of the following:

* Fears we have not faced or embraced. * Hurt feelings that either are not recognized or addressed. * Blocks or obstructions that keep us from achieving our goals, evolving, or developing self esteem. * Lost dreams due to overwhelm. * Feelings of isolation. * Frustration * Negativity and judgments. * Unable to focus.

We can choose to walk in integrity taking us one step closer towards becoming a Higher Ground Human or as many of us do we can choose to take the safe route, hide our true feelings, protecting our vulnerability and safely hiding our fear.

When we choose the latter, we are being untrue to ourselves, the biggest sin of all. We are our own worst enemy. Once we realize and accept our hurtful behavior we are ready to step onto our healing path and begin the journey. To do otherwise would be deliberately unkind.

Writing is an untapped natural healer, which according to The Med Serv. Medical News, reporting on a study by Smyth & colleagues, concluded that "The simple act of writing about bad times can be potent, and a low cost, method of relieving pain and symptoms of chronic illnesses....

Healing our emotional wounds is necessary for us to move forward, to grow spiritually, to live peacefully and to Be the best we can be.

Walking in integrity means our thoughts; actions and feelings are all aligned, all in accordance all congruent (in agreement). Actively and consciously inhibiting and holding back our thoughts and feelings takes work AND can lead to stress, ultimately affecting our immune system often putting us at risk for major and minor diseases.

James W Pennebaker, PhD is his 1990 book; Opening Up showed a relationship between expressing our emotions through writing and the positive effect this type of writing has on our immune system.

Healing is learning to be true to ourselves. To be true to ourselves and to trust ourselves takes courage and a knowing of who we are. To become true to ourselves we must embrace our fears, walking through them to the other side. When we do this we open ourselves to trusting and experiencing life.

Knowing who we are is a life-long journey AND it takes willingness on our part to consciously take that first step.

I believe we are all aware of what happens when our emotions are left dangling with no where to go, or no release. They can manifest themselves into physical ailments, leaving us confused and often making visits to the doctor's office.

Healing our everyday wounds is necessary for our mental health AND for personal growth.

Everyday wounds are painful and many of us choose to simply ignore or eliminate the pain by being in a constant state of denial.

For those who choose to travel through the pain, we find integrity and personal growth on the other side.

Writing is a powerful tool to have when moving through the pain. Through writing we can make sense out of confusion, giving meaning to emotional hurts, pin-pointing the root of our pain and sadness and opening us up to a whole new world.

Writing on a daily basis at the same time is a simple everyday ritual we must develop. When you have a conflict between your thoughts and your actions sit down and begin to write giving yourself a prompt. Your prompt may be "Why was I angry yesterday.........?" and just let the words flow through your fingers onto the paper. This free writing is powerful. You will know when you are finished.

Now give yourself the prompt "Why was I not truthful .......?" and begin to write, letting the words flow out onto the paper.

Once you are finished sit quietly and read both writings. I promise, you will be exposed to the answers to both of your prompts, giving you the opportunity to make amends to yourself by bringing your actions and your thoughts in alignment. You will begin to walk your thoughts and your talk AND be yourself. There is nothing more powerful and a battle worth fighting.

The famous American poet, EE Cummings, said, "To be nobody-but-yourself----in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else---means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight...."

This exercise will take only 30 minutes of your time, yet it is invaluable when it comes to your personal growth.

Writing helps us get in touch with what is hidden from us, giving us answers to those questions that seem to baffle us often exposing the reason behind our anger.

Writing gives us energy and frees us from the ties that bind. When we write we create a spiritual, truthful connection with ourselves and with others.

Give yourself the gift of writing.

Simple Tips For the Law of Attraction

Here I have compiled some simple tips to help you to get started with using the law of attraction in your life. No matter what, the law of attraction is working. However, you can use the law of attraction to work to your benefit if you know how to do this. And when you do, you can begin to experience the life that you have been dreaming of.

Tip Number 1: The law of attraction will only work the way that you want to if you believe in yourself and your own capabilities to attract the life that you want to. If you believe that it will not work for you and that you are not capable of achieving more in your life, then that is the experience you will manifest.

Tip Number 2: The law of attraction will not work unless you take action. There is a whole list of things that you can do to enhance your ability to attract what you want, like visualizations and affirmations. But, without you taking action, you will not receive what you want. The opportunity may present itself, but you have to be willing to take it.

Tip Number 3: The average person will not attract the life that they want. You do not have to fall into this category though. You can be among the ones who do experience what they want out of life. Start by thinking outside of the box. 95 percent of the population will never be financially free. Do not follow the crowd. Otherwise, you will attract the same results as everyone else.

Attract the life that you want. Believe you can and go against the grain and do what really works instead of what everyone else does!

Inerrancy of the Bible - Are There Mistakes in the Bible

What does the word inerrancy main? Inerrancy would refer to text that is accurate and totally free of any errors or without any mistakes. Does this sound like any book that you have ever read or have knowledge of. Maybe there is a one sentence book that could fall into this category.

Most books however and even this article has mistakes. If I made a decision to base my life, my entire life and that of my children and grandchildren, I would want to make sure that it was accurate as possible.

Is the Bible, 100%, 90%, or even 50% accurate. Are these stories that were written by people many years ago and the lessons have been helpful but now need to be rewritten.

Does the Bible actually contain the will of God? Some scholars believe that certain sections of the Bible meet this criteria while others do not. How can these people judge if they are not God and how can we believe in this stuff is not true.

If the Bible was inspired by God but written by men, this could actually mean that God had complete control over writing the Bible or does this mean that the man wrote the Bible with gods inspiration. I'm inspired by God daily and often write about it, but don't seem to have enough followers to make it into the biblical Hall of Fame. I'm writing with inspired beliefs right now.

If there are errors in the Bible, how extensive or how many errors are there actually. There are actual stories that can be documented as historical facts. This doesn't mean the rest of the Bible is factual, nor does it mean it is historically inaccurate.

The Bible has some errors in it and some facts that we can prove but leaves us with the question, is this a book from the Creator of the universe or a book written by men, to make us believe, it was written by God and if so why are we still believe being in it. Why do some people read this book and other religious text daily? What motivates them to read holy Scripture regularly but doesn't seem to allow them enough time to find out if they are reading accurate information.

The biggest problem I have with the inerrancy of the Bible is the fact that most people tend to ignore certain truths and cling to their childhood beliefs about religion. If this is not the way or the truth, I would want to start looking for it, instead of following someone else's dreams or religious doctrine.

Putting God on Trial

I was listening to something interesting the other day when someone mentioned putting God on trial for some of the atrocities in the world. If God is the creator of the universe and all that is, or all that ever will be, how can we put him on trial, he's our creator. We can't put our spiritual master on trial can we, he'll just escape anyway if we convict him, won't he. He's got to be smart enough to break out a prison.

As a child I often thought about God and why he would allow such suffering throughout the world. It never made sense to me when I was child and it still doesn't make sense to me today. Why would the creator, want us to suffer, with even the littlest of problems. Other religions have explained it as if God was teaching us a lesson and that's why we have hardships in our lives.

Do you think God ever went through these hardships? Did God have problems finding a job or gathering some food? Does God even eat? Okay now I'm getting off the topic here,(I wonder what God does eat)... if children do something wrong, most of the time their parents will discipline or correct them. If adults to things wrong, the government will discipline and reprimand them. Sometimes these punishments can be severe. It depends on the crimes committed.

If man has to be put on trial for committing crimes like murder, genocide, and general atrocities towards mankind, should God also be put on trial or is he above man because he's God. I can't imagine the creator of the universe ever being put on trial for man's crimes against humanity or other men, but it seems like someone who is all powerful and all knowing could help his children out of this little mess that we're in today.

Couldn't God help us like we help our children. We as parents might not have all the answers, but we do not claim to have them. We are not all powerful and all knowing, like we would assume God to be. When is God going to help us solve some of our major world problems, like genocide and starvation.

Putting God on trial might not solve all of our problems today but it would be nice to have some help with our problems. If he created us to please him, do we have to go on trial one day, for all the things we did or ignored while we were alive. Something to think about isn't it.

What is a Psychic

The word psychic (pronounced /saikik/; from the Greek psychikos--of the soul, mental') refers to the ability to perceive things hidden from the normal senses through what is described as extra-sensory perception, or to those people said to have such abilities.

The truth of the matter is that everyone has extra sensory abilities or psychic-ness. It is what the common-or-garden term used these days is your 'gut feeling', intuition, sixth sense; that little voice in your head that tells you otherwise. It is the sense that tells you to avoid a certain place or person without any logical reason. Everything and everyone has a psychic ability that we either choose to use or ignore. It is just a matter of being aware of your own unique gift.

Being a psychic person in simple terms is the process of being aware and developing a greater heightened awareness of being aware. For some it might be a daunting task and for others is might be easier. This is one of the reasons that many people engage in the practice of meditation, practicing bringing the mind to the present moment, yoga or any activity that develops the habit of strengthening your awareness.

A person who is highly intuitive/psychic or possess a greater heightened sense of awareness is not necessarily living the life of Buddha or anything profound but an ordinary life with all its up and downs of the day-to-day trials and tribulations. It is like some people can wiggle their ears or raise one eyebrow and some people can tell you are going to call them before the phone rings. It can also be a difficult way of being without the help and understanding of others. Have you ever been told you are just too sensitive? Are you hypersensitive in crowds? Electronic gadgets drive you crazy sometimes? Or maybe you have dreams that actually come true? literally.

These are all symptoms of having a psychic sensitive awareness. Some consider it a wonderful gift on a good day and some days a great burden. It is a responsibility that is not carried lightly but with guidance and support by those of us who have been there (especially in the more difficult times) to help learn to manage these gifts, it can be a beautiful way of being.

So in my opinion, everyone is a psychic and everyone has the ability to master their gifts of the extrasensory ability, it is just a choice as to whether you choose to use it, follow it, have confidence in it or not.

In the next issue of PsychicsEmerging Newsletter we will explore different types of extra sensory/psychic abilities, what they mean, and for what they are used.

Undines - Nature Spirits of the Water

According to legends around the world, an undine is a water nymph or water spirit. Undines can be found in any type of body of water, particularly forest pools and waterfalls. They are said to have beautiful voices, which are sometimes heard over the sound of the water. In Scotland, undines are referred to as wraiths of the water.

According to some folklore traditions, undines can take human form, thereby losing their immortality but gaining a soul. This misleading notion has led them to be a popular motif in romantic and tragic literature. Undines are sometimes referred to as nixes, nasty water sprites with mean temperaments. This is another unfortunate characterization of undines. Likewise, undines are often confused with mermaids and sea goddesses.

Paracelsus, a Swiss philosopher of the 15th century, believed that undines and other nature spirits occupied a realm between that of humans and spirit. Although they resemble man in physical form, they are more akin to the spirit realm in their abilities.

They are actually one of the four main types of nature spirits: gnomes (earth element), sylphs (air element), undines (water element) and fiery salamanders (fire element). Since water is critical for human life and all life on the earth, undines understandably play a significant role in mythology and esoteric traditions.

Undines, along with other nature spirits, are guardians of the earth. Undines are under the direction of their hierarchs, Neptune and Luara. Undines are particularly involved in clearing bodies of water of pollution and other chemical hazards. Undines play an important role in the spiritual world and in the maintenance of the balance and purity of the physical platform of the earth for mankind's evolution.

Philosophy in a Nutshell - Freedom Versus Determinism

Two of the most important and most noble purposes of philosophy are to promote intellectual independence and to awaken the thirst for wisdom. Put simply, philosophy aims to get individuals to think, hopefully to ponder deeply about more fundamental issues than those which occupy most of our everyday lives. A brief examination of the issue of freedom versus determinism helps to define the scope of philosophy and related controversies.

Theories concerned with the issue of freedom versus determinism seek to discover the cause of human behavior. Are human actions predictable in a scientific manner? In other words, are there laws of nature, though complex and largely unknown, which would tell us exactly what a person will do in a given situation and which completely rule out any other possibility? This view, known as determinism, has been bolstered since the sixteenth century by the scientific principle of universal causation: every event has a cause and predictions of results can be made with total accuracy.

Hard determinism further holds that moral responsibility is incompatible with universal causation. Soft determinism argues that some behavior is free of compulsion so that people can be held morally responsible. Libertarians maintain that human beings do possess freedom of action. Otherwise, libertarians claim, human deliberation is an illusion. This, they assert, would be absurd. Furthermore, libertarians believe that exact laws of human behavior will always be elusive. Human behavior will therefore remain unpredictable and uncontrollable. In addition to this, a society perfected through application of science to produce specific human behaviors would be morally unacceptable.

This process of questioning the very foundations of life takes a certain amount of courage and psychological fortitude. Independence of thought is critical for a free society, and philosophy aims to spur us on to deep thought about the things that matter in life.

Christian Ideas

Most people seem to go through life doing what others do and never seem to question much about whether the people around them are actually right or wrong. How many of us do exactly what our parents, grandparents and great grandparents do? I was raised a Christian by Christians and they were raised Christians by other Christians and so on. I don't know when or who in my family tree actually decided to become part of the Christian faith. I don't think it really matters today.

Someone had to of made the decision and I will probably never know. I do know this, I have followed Christianity as far as I possibly could and the next step in my life is going to be based somehow on a more spiritually universal world. I can't seem to follow something, that doesn't make sense to me, anymore. Christianity is more or less a religion that people throughout history have made adjustments to, whenever they felt necessary.

This is often like changing a tire on a car as it starts to wear or goes flat. In order for the car to operate and run smoothly we will need to pay a little attention to it, this will require maintenance over time as the car begins to have problems. We have to solve these problems or our car will become useless and will need to be sent to the junkyard.

Religions throughout history have done the same, as the people become more intelligent and less dependent, they need to create new things and make adjustments. If they don't make these adjustments over time, the religion will no longer be necessary and be sent to the junk heap of time. This is what happened to the Greek and Roman gods, what makes you think, that your God or gods will stand the test of time.

Do you think there's going to be any more adjustments to Christianity in the future? It seems like the last adjustments were Scientology and the Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. These religions don't exactly follow what Paul started in the Roman Catholic Church. What will the next adjustment be and why will it be necessary?

If you choose to follow Christianity, how do you know which church is right, I mean their core beliefs are right, aren't they. To love your neighbor and be compassionate. To show kindness towards others and help the needy. Do you think that we're going to have to adjust this one day and start treating certain religious followers, whose skin color is deference or speaks a different language with cruelty. I wonder what the next adjustment in Christianity is going to be.

New Jerusalem - The New Global Capital

The recent attack on the global city of Mumbai (Bombay) in India illustrates how as the world's population expands, the land does not match the needs of a growing population. You can talk about finances and universities and commerce - the free market system can accommodate some of this global flow but it cannot accommodate fanatical religious beliefs that mask political agendas.

While you can expand enterprise in a global sense, you cannot perpetuate that old timed bubble to protect your old time religion in a shrinking land bubble.

I can presume that the recent bloodshed is over the decades old disputed territory of Kashmir and the dividing line in politics which happens also to be a dividing line in religion.

In the decades to come as we adapt to the new needs of a global population in a global economy, we can expect more bloodshed sad to say.

Land was the basis of the recent worldwide fraud of American securities packaged and sold as valid with a MBA Imprimatur. In the end, the land with improvements was not as valuable as the inflated promise of return. Land is not the answer to much of the future's problems so much as cooperation of all peoples globally.

You reap what you sow. If your government and your religion and or your government/religion cannot promote tolerance and win-win negotiation, the global equation is not doomed. Innocent bystanders will be collateral damage of imperfect human thinking - intolerance - clinging to outdated ideas from the past. These are unbending ideas that refuse to be groomed in the possibilities of a new global way to look at all things in a new way - and deal with them accordingly.

The heart of most religions preach and practice the tolerance necessary to arrive at a new global future. It is the fringe edge of reality that clings to a local view in a local bubble going up against global reality and with violence. There is a place for both local and global ideas in the future.

Like the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, if they don't want a Third Temple, fine, build it elsewhere. Ideas are more important than armies or mere square footage of land.

The New Jerusalem, the new Global Capital of Earth will be built one day. It will not be built on land. It will be built on faith, hope, love and the good will of all men and all women on this one planet.

Mom And Pop Shops Almost Gone But Not Forgotten

What Happened? What has happened to change the world so? I celebrated my 20th birthday in 1950, shortly after my Dad passed away on his 60th birthday from leukemia. The town of Piedmont, Alabama had grown from a rural crossroads community called "Hollow Stump" in the early 1840's to be named later as "Griffen's Creek" with a registered post office by that name. It was named a short time later by a land purchaser as "Cross Plains" and bore that name and post office until 1888 when it officially became known as Piedmont, meaning "foot of the mountains".

It had grown by 1950 from a couple of families at "Hollow Stump", to a bustling little town of some 4,500. At the time, there was a large Standard-Coosa-Thatcher spinning mill, a busy cotton gin, two movie theaters, some 8 or 10 home owned grocery stores, two hardware stores, three 5 and dime stores, several cafes, 3 drug stores, three physicians, two banks and numerous other businesses, all thriving and living comfortably. Some of the merchants actually became rather wealthy.

You see, the post WW2 years (1946 to 1950) were years of change. The cost of the war ending in 1945 and now the beginning of the Korean war had brought on a boom of manufacturing and increased wages that were unimaginable. Inflation was leaping upwards but people really didn't mind because wages were also climbing. Except for the old boys who were dying in Korea, the country was in a period of good times and expansion of about everything.

But something happened in Piedmont somewhere around 1949, the first large chain grocery store opened in the town. Up until that time, almost everything in town with the exception of the manufacturing firms and one of the theaters, were owned by local families. But here comes a Quik-Chek Grocery, a modern serve-yourself grocery store, of the Winn-Dixie organization from Florida. It remained for a number of years as one by one the family stores dropped out. Until finally there were only two grocery stores left. One enterprising merchant became affiliated with a multiple store provider and became a strong competitor for the then named Winn-Dixie store, which eventually became unprofitable and was sold to an individual. These two stores remain and are very competitive with each other and with large chain stores in neighboring towns.

With improved state and county road systems which also gave shoppers of clothing and other merchandise access to large retail stores in the clothing, hardware and other lines and so those stores began suffering and closing. Large chains and conglomerates continued to increase year by year until most of the family owned businesses disappeared. Of the two banks in town, one changed ownership a couple of times and is now a branch of one of the largest banking corporations in the nation. The other is still home owned but has, itself, expanded into several branches in this county. Most of the towns eateries are fast food chain stores although 2 or 3 small home owned ones remains and one home owned franchise holder of a large chain cafe.

A few months after I turned 20, I was drafted in to the army (April 1951), and saw little of Piedmont for the next two years. But, even though the home owned businesses were disappearing, I didn't give it much thought and was pleased to see the improvement in merchandise selection, competitive prices, and so on, available through the chain stores. Then with the advent of K-Mart, followed by Walmart, I suddenly began to realize that you never knew anyone who owned a business anymore. All only worked for some large company. When one takes the time to stop and think about it, it is absolutely amazing what transformation took place in America in two short decades. From about 1945 to 1965, it just became a different world. Sad, in a way, but simply a phenomena to be expected in a progressive society, a growing population and high technological advances. Consider the population increase:

In 1950, the world population was 2,556,000,053. In just sixty years, 2010, it is estimated that the number will be 6,848,932,929 around 150% increase. During that same period, the United States grew from 151,325,798 to an estimated 309,162,581, over 100% increase. As our population grows, we, of pure necessity, must have food, clothing, housing and supplies to match our growth. The volume increase means a change in production methods and distribution methods. And as affluence increases, we demand more and better of all those things than we once had on an individual basis. Actually the old methods would not be sufficient. You once entered a store and depended upon the proprietor to round you up a can of pork and beans, then cut you 6 pork chops and weigh up a couple of pounds of rice while two other customers stood patiently waiting for their turn. Now a couple of hundred customers can cruise the aisles with their shopping carts to their hearts content.

We hear a lot of people criticize Walmart for driving the little man out of business. And working people for low wages. It does seem bad. But, once again it is the demand of the times. They are only doing what it takes to satisfy millions of consumers. But the founder of that giant company started out much smaller than many similar businesses did who have long since gone down the drain. I personally think they are wonderful. I have always been a stickler when looking for a particular item or brand and their stores are much more likely to have exactly what I want than any other store that I am aware of. And the price is always extremely competitive. A good example of their pricing is something that I learned soon after they appeared in this area. I have had a habit of gargling every night and morning with Listerine, even before it started tasting good. I always bought it at Walmart in the largest size they had, seems like about a liter. But once when I ran out and stopped at a local drug store to buy a bottle, to my dismay, a bottle less than half the size I had been buying was over a dollar more than the much bigger bottle at Walmart. I now try to never run out.

As we grow old, everything in the old days seems dearer than it actually was. I long for many of the old ways and items but let me be very clear, those memories are deceiving. I know if I were placed back in the Army in the early 1950's, I'd be miserably homesick as I was then. I would do without a lot of things that I now relish in. I miss a lot of them, and seriously, it was good times, but we can never go back and I'm not sure we would be as happy as we think, if we did.

United We Stand, Divided We Fail

Katy, my wife, gave me a purple Hibiscus plant a few years back a most unique colour for a flower, you will surely agree.

Of course it was a hybrid and, well, this hybrid never came good it never flowered and was always in poor health.

My efforts to achieve a better health for the plant included:

re-potting it many times - changing the soil mixture and adding different organic fertilizers.

giving it more light,

less light,

more water,

less water,

more protection from the wind

better association I even put it with other hibiscus that were doing well.

But to no avail until New Years day 2005 when it bloomed and graced our eye with its beauty.

It wasnt just one thing that caused the change in quality it was the application of varied methods that eventually won out.

And so it is with our own personal health.

We will not attain to a state of personal health satisfaction through the application of a single method.

We will only achieve a better state of health by applying the varied laws of health in different quantities and qualities until the desired objective is reached.

This must be done on a persistent and continuous basis.

To each and every reader we wish you all the best in your daily efforts to apply the laws of health to your own lifestyle.

All the best in all we do

Stop Being a Victim

The foundation for living a great life rests on one vital principle: You are responsible. Yep, that's right - you are responsible. Unhappy in your job? You took the job, you choose to remain in the job, and you are choosing to be miserable about it. Overweight? No one force fed you all that food. In debt? Guess who spent more money then they could afford? In a bad relationship? You keep showing up.

The first step in improving any of these situations (or countless others we could name) is taking responsibility for them. Victims are quick to blame the situation on other factors: I have to stay in this job, I've got kids to support! Well, who chose to have the kids? And why have you decided this is the only job in the world you can get? Unless you're dead you can always acquire new skills. You are responsible.

Even if something truly terrible has happened and it is beyond your control (although you have more control in most situations than you'd like to admit), how you react to it is your responsibility.

The best example I have ever seen of this is a women I love and admire greatly - Cathy Wheeler, the Director of the Small Business Center at Rockingham Community College. Cathy is one of the sunniest, most upbeat people you will ever meet. In the past several months, she has been struggling with a terribly dehabilitating illness which has weakened her bones. They are incredibly fragile - last winter she slipped on the ice and a major bone in her leg broke. (She was helping someone who had slipped, and she got up and kept going for a few days!) A few months later, her jaw shattered while she was walking across her bedroom. And she's currently dealing with spinal problems which have her worried about paralysis.

Cathy could easily become a victim, complaining about this happening to her in the prime of her life, using the situation as an excuse to be miserable. Not Cathy. She always asks about others and has the biggest heart I've ever seen. She'll think about all of us and how we're doing long before it would ever occur to her to complain about her own condition. She said to me that she wasn't going to let her situation stop her from doing the things she loved. She said "I'd rather die living, than live dying." That's advice we should all take to heart. Cathy is a tiny little thing, but she's the strongest and the most joyful person I know. No one would ever say that Cathy is a victim.

Most of us don't have to deal with our bodies falling apart on us. Some of us become victims with hardly any provocation, eager to blame someone or something else for any failure or problem we encounter. These victims are miserable and encourage everyone who comes in contact with them to be miserable too. Chances are you know at least one victim, but what about you? Is there some area in your life where you are behaving as a victim? An area in which you have surrendered all your power and are blaming someone or something else for the quality of your life? Stop it right now and take responsibility!

It scares people too much to admit they got themselves into their current situations. Or that, at the very least, they are choosing to remain in those situations. But until you admit (yes, I ate all that food; yes, I spent all that money; yes, I've been too lazy to exercise; yes, I've been too lazy to look for another job or get more training; yes, I've been too afraid of being lonely to leave this relationship; yes, I've been too scared to ask for the sale; and on and on and on), until you admit you are responsible for the quality of your life, nothing will get any better for you.

Once you admit that it is indeed YOU who are in charge of your life, you can decide what to do. You can change your behavior in the direction of what you truly want. If you really, truly want a slimmer body, you can cut back on what you eat and start exercising. If you really want a different job, you can start actively looking for another one or go and get the education you might need to qualify for something else. Maybe you really don't want to do the work necessary to lose the weight or get another job. Then take responsibility for that decision and fix your attitude. Focus on what you like about your situation - for example you may really like your co-workers - and quit complaining about something you have no intention of changing. Your attitude is always under your control - and choosing to be miserable is just plain stupid.

To increase your quality of life: Step One: Take responsibility for it. Step Two: Take action to improve or accept anything that is making you unhappy. (In other words, fix it or get over it.)

Victims never get past the first step. Don't be one of them.

Water Damage Mold

Live by Faith, Not by Sight

Do you feel like you are experiencing roadblocks to your dreams?
Do you feel like you are striving for something but it just seems
to elude you?

Maybe you are a little discouraged and confused about what God
wants for you. Do you wonder if God has a plan for your life? And
if He does, why does it remain unfulfilled?

There may be a multitude of thoughts running through your mind as
you continue day in and day out, repeating the same mundane tasks
over and over again, wondering if things will ever change.

You may be frustrated and wondering what your purpose is. Jesus
said, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who
believes, (Mark 9:23) and He also said, According to your
faith, be it done unto you (Matt 9:29).

We must believe without a doubt that we will have good
things in life, that we will be guided to the right situations at
the right times, and that we really will see our dreams
manifested. We will, if we believe because our faith can move
mountains!

God has a wonderful plan for each of His children according to
his or her own unique gifts and abilities (Jeremiah 29:11).
Therefore, we must trust that God is working all things for our
benefit according to His plan (Romans 8:28). It really is just a
matter of faith.

The Bible says, Without faith, it is impossible to please God,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a
rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Heb 11:6).

I love the part where it says, Believe that He is. Believe that
He is what? Our Heavenly Father and God Almighty! The author of
the entire universe. The greatest force that has ever existed.
And, He knows right where you are. Every hair on your head is
numbered (Luke 12:7). If you dont have any hair, dont worry,
your fuzz is probably numbered.

Living the abundant and prosperous Christian life is really just
a matter of getting out of Gods way. Quit trying to always
figure things out. Turn off the reasoning and let Him do His work
in you, through you, and for you, making you perfect and
complete, lacking nothing.

Psalms 18:29 says, In your strength I can crush an army; with my
God I can scale any wall (NLT).

Decide to have faith in any given situation. Believe everything will
work out fine no matter what things may look like. As Christians,
we live by faith, not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). After all, God is the final
authority in any given situation and He knows exactly what He
wants to do in your life.

Can You Change Your Life

How to Find Inner Peace With Yourself, the World and God Through Meditation

People throughout the world express their desire for peace in many ways. We often hear phrases such as: "Peace be with you." At Christmas people send greeting cards or sing songs about peace on earth. People hold up two fingers in the form of a "V" which symbolizes peace. When someone dies, we pray that he or she "rests in peace.

Nations meet continually to search for ways to make peace with each other. Organizations dedicated to peace have sprung up in many countries. There is even a Noble Peace Prize for individual contributions to this noble cause.

The quest for peace is universal. In every age and in every country, people have been trying to find peace within their environment, within their families, within their places of work, within their communities, and within the world.

It is strange that although countless people have been searching for peace throughout the ages, its attainment remains elusive. Few of us have found peace for ourselves. We how the difficulties of life conspire to deny us true and lasting peace. Is it really possible for us to achieve this goal?

First, we should analyze what peace is. A dictionary defines it as freedom from strife, and a state of serenity, calmness, and stillness. Inherent in this definition is the answer to why peace is so difficult to achieve. Life and strife seem to go hand in hand. We have all experienced this. Any happiness we receive is often short-lived. We may suddenly find ourselves in states of sorrow. There is disturbances at each and every stage of our life. Existence in this world is turbulent.

If peace means "freedom from strife," then it is not easily attainable. Whether one is rich or poor, a king or a peasant, one's life is burdened with one problem or another.

There is an instructive story from the life of Lord Buddah which aptly illustrates this truth. A woman whose young son had died was inconsolable. She visited all the doctors in her area to find out how the child's life could be restored. Someone finally told her that there was an enlightened being, Lord Buddah, who might be able to help her. She approached Buddah and asked him to help bring her son back to life and ease the terrible pain in her heart. Buddah, in his wisdom, told her he would help revive her son if she could first bring back a mustard seed from a household in which no one had ever died.

The woman was filled with joy and set out to follow his instructions. She visited one house after another. Yet at each door she received the same reply. One or more members of the family had passed away. Each household thought she must be a fool for thinking that any family can pass through life escaping the loss of one of its members.

In this way Lord Buddah taught her that death is the one inevitable reality of life. We as mortal human beings are all going to die one day. Sickness and disease are other facts of life. We need only examine our own existence to see how difficult it is to go through life without any illness, mishap, or accident. Medical books are filled with many diseases that can afflict human beings. There are no shortages of accidents that could befall us as we move through life's journey. We live in an environment over which we do not have total control. With death, misfortune, or illness hanging over our heads, how can we live in perpetual, uninterrupted peace?

Even if our physical body is fairly healthy, few can lead their lives without strife. There are many occurrences that produce stress. If we have a family we know that the illness, unhappiness, or misfortune of any member causes the others to be distressed. Whenever any two people live or work together, there are bound to be tensions due to differences of opinions or viewpoints. When we are not at peace with those with whom we come in contact, we experience stress and apprehension in our day-to-day activities. And this tension prevents us from leading a life of happiness, joy, and bliss.

There are a host of other problems that afflict our lives. If we search we search for peace in our outer life, at best we can find transitory moments of tranquility. We certainly have times where we enjoy the warmth of being with our loved ones, or we have moments of happiness from some gain or achievement. But these moments are fleeting. Inevitably, life again presents us with another set of problems.

A great mystic-poet and saint, expressed this beautifully in one of his verses:Whenever I experience any moments of bliss, Life comes and offers another cup of sorrow.

It seems as if lasting peace in this life is virtually impossible. Life should be more than a pendulum in which we swing back and forth between moments of joy and moments of sorrow.

Despite the obstacles, we can attain true peace in this lifetime. But to do so we need to undergo a shift in our way of thinking. Our angle of vision needs to change. We tend to look for peace in the outer world. We hope to find it in our possessions, positions, and relationships. but the loss of any of these causes us to become agitated and distraught. Our peace of mind is disturbed. Every thing in this world is subject to change and eventual decay. So as long as we look to the transitory world for happiness, we will be disappointed. We need to change the way we look at this problem. An Anecdote from the life of Moghul Emperor Akbar can help us in this regard. Akbar is considered to be one of the most enlightened emperors of India. He had a number of advisors to help run his ministries. Among these great minds was Birbal, the wisest of them all. He was quite clever and could figure out solutions to difficult problems by looking at them from a totally different perspective.

One day Akbar wanted to test his advisors, so he presented them with a puzzle. He took a stick and drew a line in the sand. He asked his advisors to try and shorten the line in he sand without erasing any part of it. Each counselor took a turn but all were stumped. They could not figure out how to make it shorter. Finally, Birbal came forward, took the stick, and carefully drew a line next to the one the emperor had drawn. But Birbal made his line longer. By drawing the second line longer, it made the second one look shorter

The solution to finding peace requires us to look at the problem from a new prospective. We cannot change the nature of the world or its problems. But we can add a new dimension to life that will give us peace. Lasting peace can be found within us. Enlightened luminaries throughout history have had mystical experiences which verified for them the existence of an inner spiritual reality.

Buddah found enlightenment by inverting within . Christ has said, "The Kingdom of heaven is within you. "The Muslim and the Judeo-Christian scriptures speak of prophets who communed with God. Mystics from every religious tradition have described their inner spiritual experiences. They have spoken of heavenly realms that co-exist with the physical world. These are realms of joy and love which are within us. They are regions of peace and bliss beyond time and space. We can not change the fundamental nature of the world, but we can become attuned to the worlds lying within us. In order to to find peace in the world, we must first find it within ourselves. We can do this by changing our perspective in life.

the way to reach the spiritual realms is invert through a process known as meditation. Through meditation we can separate our soul from the body to voyage into the regions within. We can learn how to meditate from spiritual teachers or mystics who have mastered this science.

From these teachers we learn that in the beginning the creative principal of the universe, which we call God, Was all alone. It is said he is a ocean of all-consciousness, all bliss, all joy. When he decided to become many from one, His thought or creative vibration resulted in two primary manifestations, Light and Sound. The current of Light and Sound was the cause of all creation. As it traveled outward from God it brought forth various regions or planes into existence.

It created a plane of pure consciousness. This is a region of light so bright it that it equals trillions and trillions of outer suns. In our scientific age it seems hard to believe that anything could be as bright as trillions of suns. But even in the physical universe scientists have discovered quasars or quasi-stellar material whose light is as bright as millions of galaxies. They are so bright that even though they are millions of light years away , scientists can detect them with modern instruments.

As the divine Light and Sound continued moving out from its source, another plane of existence was created. It was called the super casual plane. Next, the casual plane was created. The next plane is the astral plane. Finally, the physical plane was created, in which we reside. The physical plane consists of our universe with all its stars and planets, our earth, humanity, and all other species of life.

Besides bringing the various planes of creation into existence, God also sent into these worlds conscious particles of Himself, drops of Himself, which we call souls. They inhabited the various planes of creation. Soul is of the same essence of God. It is pure spirit and it is all consciousness, all bliss, all joy. When it took up residence on each plane it had to assume a covering or body corresponding to the material of the region. Thus the soul was cloaked in a casual, astral, or physical planes.

In the physical universe the soul is covered with the maximum layers or coverings. The result is that the soul forgets and becomes identified with the bodies which it inhabits. It forgets its true nature and its residence in spiritual realm within. This forgetfulness is the cause of unhappiness and ignorance of the mysteries of life. Alkl knowledge of creation, of who we are and of God, is within our soul. the soul is perpetually conscious. But the soul's coverings are so thick that the divine Light cannot shine through any more. In order for the light to again radiate, we have to remove the various coverings of the soul, one by one. Meditation is a process by which we can remove each vail until we shine forth as pure soul.

The various planes of existence do not have a physical location in our universe. They do not exist above or below us, in the sense of space as we know it. They within us. The way to reach them is not by any mode of outer travel, not by any spaceship, not even by traveling faster than the speed of light. The way to reach these realms is by entering within through inversion.

Meditation is a simple method to rise above the physical body and traverse the inner planes. Meditation requires concentrating the attention at a special point in the body through which we can enter within. The outer expression of our soul is the attention. Generally, our attention is spread out in our body. Through the help of our five senses we are aware of our physical body and the world outside. These senses function through the eyes, ears, nostrils, mouth, and skin. We are aware of the world through the senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.

The soul, unaware of its true nature, has identified itself with the body and mind. Instead of the soul controlling the mind and the mind controlling the senses, the situation has become reversed. The soul is dragged by the mind, and the mind is pulled by the senses into the outer world. Our attention is lost in outer enjoyments and tempted by by the world's attractions. Most of us are attracted to sights that we consider pleasant and beautiful. To someone, scenery might be lovely. To another person, an architectural building might be appealing. To yet another, machinery might look beautiful. We enjoy listening to lovely sounds. Some of us like to hear classical music, whereas others may like to listen to rock 'n' roll. We are attracted to those sounds that we find enjoyable. We are attracted to food which is delicious. And we are enticed by sweet smelling fragrances and by the sense of touch Because of these outer attractions, it is hard for us to withdraw our attention from the outer world. So long as our attention is identified with the world outside, we are faced with the problems and mysteries that are inherent in physical existence. We spend our time seeking worldly enjoyments, but they last for only short periods of time. By inverting our attention and rising above the physical body through a process of meditation, we will find regions within us which will give us lasting peace.

We have within us an opening or door by which our attention can enter the higher regions. This entryway is located between and behind the two eyebrows. It is known as the seat of the soul in the body and has been referred to in many ways by various religions and philosophiesIt has been called the single eye or third eye, or tenth door. If we can withdraw our attention from the outer world and focus in at this point we will see the light of the higher regions reflected therein. As our soul collects at this point, it rises into the beyond. This is the same point through which the soul passes at the time of death when the soul leaves the body. In the last thirty years, much research has been documented by medical doctors in a field of study which has to come to be called near death experiences. These are experiences reported by people who where called clinically dead, but through the wonders of medicine were brought back to life.

It is interesting that the experience of most people who underwent near-death experiences were similar. They felt as they were going through a tunnel and emerging into light. Most of them said that they found so much peace, joy, and bliss in that region that they did not want to come back to this world. Near-death experiences have been reported by children. Doctors discovered that the children had the same types of experiences as the adults.

We do not have to wait for physical death or an accident causing a near-death experience to travel into the realms within. through meditation we can learn how to come and go at will through this inner door.

The current of Light and Sound which descend from the creator also returns to the source. The Light and Sound is constantly reverberating within us. We can pick up the current at the third or single eye. But to go within and concentrate at this point, we may need some help from an experienced guide or spiritual teacher to show us how to collect our soul at the third eye. We can get a first hand experience of seeing the inner Light and hearing the Sound current.

On our own, it is difficult to concentrate at the seat of the soul and contact the Light and Sound. The mind wants to remain absorbed in the outer world and this does not allow us to concentrate at the tenth door . We can perform a small experiment ourselves. If we close our eyes and try to sit still, concentrating our attention, we will find that our mind that our mind will start to bombard us with thoughts. Within seconds we will become fidgety and will want to move and open our eyes. We find we can hardly sit still. Then, the mind will start thinking of one thing or another. So many distractions will keep us from concentrating. Although wonderful regions lie within us, we have not been able to enter them. We need to learn a technique by which we can still the body and mind, and find peace, love, and bliss within.

To help keep your attention focused, you need to hear certain sounds repeated mentally. This mental repetition keeps the mind engaged so it does not wander about or become entangled in thoughts which might pull our attention. Our mind is like mercury and cannot be still. It needs to do something. If we examine our daily activities, we will find that we are not concentrating on working with our physical body, or on writing, reading, or doing any other activity, then the mind begins to wander and generate thoughts. One moment it could be in Chigago and the next moment it could be on Mars, and then it could be anywhere else. The mind acts so quickly that it is difficult to keep it still. But through mental repetition, we give the mind something to do. and what better way to engage the mind than to repeat soothing sounds.

While we hear these sounds, we concentrate our attention at the third or single eye. We gaze into the area in front of us. As we concentrate on what lies in front of us, we begin to see Lights of various colors. These are reflections of the Lights of the higher regions. Concentrating further we begin to cross the inner sky, stars, moon, and sun. We then travel through the astral plane. The physical body remains at rest in meditation, but our attention is fully engaged in the astral region. A silver cord connects our soul with the physical body so that when our meditation is over we return to the physical body filled with peace and joy.

Next, with practice, we rise through the casual and supercasual planes, the lower bodies are left behind until the soul reaches the purely spiritual realm where it shines in a its pristine brilliance. Here we appear as pure spirit, pure soul. At this stage our soul merges back in the ocean of all bliss, peace, and happiness. We become fully aware of our true selves and of God.

The benefits of learning meditation are many. The soul attains self-knowledge and and returns to the source from where it came. We become all-conscious. We find solutions to the questions of the mystery of life and death. We realize that death is nothing more than passing through a door from one realm of existence to another. We are able to cross the threshold to higher realms and return in the twinkling of an eye. Death no longer holds any fear for us, for we know we never die but only pass to another realm. And those regions are more beautiful, more peaceful, more blissful, than any place on earth.

The more we come in contact with the Light and Sound, the more bliss we experience. This state of peace and joy remains with us when we return to the physical realm. It becomes a part of our daily lives.

By mastering meditation, usually under the guidance of a spiritual teacher, we not only attain personal fulfillment, but we become an instrument for bringing peace and joy to those around us. When we merge with creator, we recognize that all living beings are children of the one Father. We realize that the Light of God which is in us is within everyone else. We realize that all are brothers and sisters with the Creator. It is at this stage that we develop true love for all, for our fellow beings, and for all creation. We become ambassadors of God's love. We radiate love to others. We begin to care for others. We transcend the labels that our societies have placed on people. We do not discriminate among people on the basis of wealth, skin color, religion, or nationality. We need to become integrated human beings. Sant Kirpal Singh Ji used to say if we are Christian, let us become a true Christian. If we are Jewish, let us become a true Jew. If we are Hindu let us become a true Hindu. If we are Sikh let us become a true Sikh. If we are Muslim, let us become a true Muslim. And this means we live our lives according to the essence of each religion. That essence is to know ourselves, know God, and develop love for all. All religions teach us that we are children of God and that we should have love in our hearts for every person we meet. If we realize the Light of God within us, if we experience it for ourselves, then we will see the same Light of God shinning in others. When peace fills our heart, it will radiate from us. If each person has this realization, there will be true peace on this planet.

By gaining inner peace, we can also achieve outer peace. Some people mistakenly think that the path of meditation is one of escapism. They feel that it requires one to sit in a cave or on a mountaintop like a recluse. But meditation does not lead to escapism;rather, it makes us more alive. It is one of the most effective ways to actively work towards outer peace. Meditation encourages us to maintain a balanced life in this world. While attending to our spiritual progress, we lead a productive life, fulfilling all our responsibilities.

We need to earn an honest living. We must care for our family. We should contribute to the need of our neighbors, our community, our society, the nation, and the world. Whatever task we undertake, We perform to the best of our abilities. The spiritual path is twofold. We achieve inner enlightenment and peace for ourselves. Then, we use our talents and skills and the gift of our human life to make the world a better place, a more peaceful place. If we are a doctor, we should be the best possible doctor. If we are a carpenter, we should be the best carpenter. If we are a musician, we should be the best musician that we can be. In this way, we make improvements in our society and make life better for all around us. By developing our inner and outer life, we will become complete human beings. We will find fulfillment and peace for ourselves and help others achieve it as well.

We may not be able to eliminate all the problems of the world, but through meditation we can attain peace and happiness. We can make our family life more peaceful, loving, and caring. We can help change the society in which we live. We can be a source of peace to all those around us. By leading a life in which we are caring and loving to others, we will develop into ideal human beings. Sant Kirpal Singh Ji used to say that it is difficult to become a human being in the true sense of the word, but once we do so, it is not so difficult to find God. And that is the highest goal of human existence.

The Polar Express - What a Wonderful Story!

This book is a wonderful classic that we share every Christmas Eve.

Before going off to bed, my children, husband and I snuggle together to listen to William Hurt narrate this story as I turn the pages. We purchased this book through the advice of a old friend and we loved it from the first time we heard the story. Through his advice we created a tradition that has stayed with us for the last 18yrs!

The story begins with a boy who boards a train to the North Pole. Upon his arrival, Santa pulls him out of a large crowd of children and elves to choose any gift he desires for his gift, "The first gift of Christmas!". The boy chooses not a toy, not an item of great expense, but instead he chooses a bell from a reindeers harness. He loves this bell! He places it safely in his pyjama pocket so as not to lose it.

When the train drops him off at his home he reaches into his pocket for the bell only to find that it had fallen through a hole in his pocket. He tries to yell out to the conductor to tell him that he lost the bell, but he cannot hear him over the noise of the steaming horn of train. Instead he yells back to the boy to wish him a Merry Christmas.

He goes off to bed disappointed that Christmas is ruined. The following morning he gets up with his family to open gifts. After all the gifts have been opened, his mother finds a small box under the tree addressed to her son. As he opens this gift with curiosity he finds the bell with a note from Santa telling him to fix the hole in his pocket. He and his sister are so excited to find this bell. They shake the bell to hear it's glorious sound. As his mother admires this bell, she cannot hear the ringing of the bell and comments, "That's too bad. It's broken"

Is the bell really broken or can its sound only be heard by those who have the true spirit of Christmas?

Maybe this story will find a place into your Christmas traditions for you and your family to share.

The Greek Deity Known as Hestia

When one thinks to Greek Deities, Hestia, probably does not come to mind. Less dramatic than others, she still played an important role in Greek culture.

The Greek Deity Known as Hestia

In ancient Greece, fourteen Olympians made up the pantheon of gods that were worshiped by the Greeks. While some of these deities are extremely well-known today, such as Zeus, Aphrodite and Athena, others are less familiar. These gods, while not in the forefront of Greek mythology, still played a major part in the lives of the ancient Greeks. One of these is Hestia, the first and last born daughter of the Titan Chronos.

In pre-Olympic mythology, the story is told of how the Titans Chronos and Rhea had twelve children, destined to be the first twelve gods of Mount Olympus. Chronos was upset by the birth of his offspring, so he swallowed all of them except for the youngest, Zeus. Hestia was the first born of Chronos, therefore she was the first swallowed. After Zeus led a war against the Titans and won, Chronos was forced to disgorge his offspring, and Hestia, being swallowed first, came out last. In this way, she was both the first and last born daughter of Chronos.

Hestia is seen as the deity of the hearth, and of order and family. She was depicted as being virginal, and her name actually means home and hearth. The town hall (prytaneum) of every town had a public hearth, at which sacrifices and dedications were made to Hestia. It also was her official sanctuary. When a new village or colony was established, a flame from one of the existing hearths of Hestia was carried to that new place, and she was later seen as the governing power over the connection between colonies and mother cities.

While not the most active or strongest of the Greek pantheon, Hestia was worshiped in every house. Her altar was seen as being located in every home and public hearth, and she was also regarded as a model of virginity and chastity.

How to Greatly Improve Your Manifestations

Chances you are familiar with: The Power of Intention, Think and Grow Rich, The Secret, The Law of Attraction, or Ask and it is Given. Let's face it, these methods for manifesting your desires into reality teach much of the same methods, through different angles.

What makes up their bulk of their messages (instead of focusing on the important mystic essentials for one to directly change reality to their will) are hours of self-help, spiritual inspiration, and tools for personal and inner transformation. May just be me, but that sounds like another subject matter. Yet supposedly these are the real issues behind your ability, or lack thereof. It boils down to surrendering negative thoughts, re-remembering positive elements of life, and going through self-therapy until the results in your life follow the changes in your outlook. Once you can hold a positive outlook, the petty psychology that fueled what manifested in your life until now, will fade away, replaced by positive changes. Some schools even use generalizations in quantum physics to support their methods. The bottom line is by changing your thoughts, you will change your reality.

Why then, is it so impossible to achieve for the mass majority!?

If you are like thousands of others, you may be thinking sure it sounds logical, but why (despite how much you understand positive thinking), behind all the applied optimism, does it feel like everything is still a luck of the draw situation? That much like a domino effect, your destiny seems to have been set in motion by cosmic dice thrown at the moment of your birth? Pretty fatalistic right? What if there was a way to alter those dominoes? That is what Manifesting or co-creating is all about right?

It doesn't matter how many authors out there can explain away the logic, it doesn't automatically make them qualified to teach how-to achieve it. Sure, in order to teach how, you must do so from experiential success, but the other side is understanding the mind-state (not just the intentions) of the student learning it. So let's get to the heart of this article.

Most people automate. They are not in control of their thoughts. Hindu yogi's call it the monkey mind. The Higher Balance Institute calls it your "Babbler". The bottom line is, if you don't know how to control it, then it won't matter how much you grasp, your brain will still play thoughts like a broken record. No matter how clearly you've traced where your negativity originated from in childhood, figuring that out will only change "the content" your babbler uses to dilute your focus while manifesting.

Put positive and negative aside. If your mind is undisciplined, your attempts at manifesting won't generate enough "fuel" or energy to alter the cosmic dominoes beyond your awareness. But, if you somehow had enough fuel to "broadcast" your intentions out to God or the Universe, call it what you will, I guarantee it would add the missing link!

So how can you build this kind of fuel? There are several easy ways. No, I'm not trying to trick you, they really are easy if you put one daily foot in front of the other.

1. Learn how to control your thoughts. Learn an effective meditation and make it a daily practice. Never mind enlightenment (for now), just train your thought control. (make sure it's not a mantra technique, you don't want any triggered spoken or structured thoughts at all) I highly recommend the methods that focus on a chakra. Once you can hold a state of "non-thought" for 1 minute, you are VERY close to your goal.

2. Use this new skill in your manifestation sessions. Relax into a clear state of "nonthought", and instead of a ton of babbled-thoughts representing your intention, or representing what you are asking God, you will use your new meditative skill to isolate the emotional texture (behind the words) of what it is you desire. It cuts to the chase and amplifies the fuel!

3. Hold that emotion! Focus solely on broadcasting the feeling to the universe. Then broadcast it to the deepest part of your heart and mind. Use this fuel technique to program yourself too. Our bodies are electrical, programmed from birth by reality itself. This works far better than spoken or 'babbled' affirmations.

Having more fuel makes all the difference. But if you still have an undisciplined mind, just forget about it. Sure, your desires have an emotional fuel in themselves, but if your mind can only last 5 seconds before another thought comes in diluting it, it basically just evaporated whatever fuel was building.

Train your non-thought skill. Use it to enhance your manifestations and achieve the success you know you've earned. That's Direct Manifestation!

Following The Old Religious Text - Religion

Most people tend to bury their head in the sand when it comes to problems with their family, community, job, government and of course religious beliefs. They don't want to hear the truth and often they can't see the truth. I have read many religious text, books and other literature, missing some very important parts and only when I reread the information, did I find what I have missed. Sometimes I have needed to read or listen to the same information over 30 times, before it becomes somewhat clear to me.

Most religions are living in the dark ages. From what I gather, Hinduism is over 4000 years old, Judaism is around 2500 years old, Christianity is 2000 years old and Islam is about 1400 years old. People are following information today that isn't necessarily applicable to modern times but often religious leaders can twist it around, add some verbiage, make a semi-educated judgment and now we have something we can follow. It just doesn't make sense.

Why do we put so much faith in religious books like the Bible, Torah, Bhagavad-Gita and Quran, when these books cannot be proven and often have many mistakes and errors. I know people that open these books very carefully and treat them like they are made from solid gold. They are books like any others but often people live their lives from the information inside, strictly and religiously. Often never straying from their beliefs, even though they're outdated and hard to follow.

Let me get to the bottom line here, have you researched your religion and if you have, do you have any questions that can't be answered? Do you read any of the religious text and often wonder or think to yourself, this doesn't seem to make sense, because you just read something else that was contradicting the last statement.

You can handle the truth about your religion. By reading this article, it tells me that you're on the Internet, can you go to a search engine and type in Bible contradictions, Torah contradictions, or whatever your beliefs are. I was searching for errors in the Bible and came upon a couple of pretty good web sites.

Use words like contradiction, problems, errors and see what websites you come up with.

Seek the wisdom and the truth shall set you free.
